Welcome to the Lakeview Library!

I am Mrs. Sargent and I LOVE being a Librarian at Lakeview Elementary.  The library is a place to learn a multitude of skills that go above and beyond reading.  However, my primary goal is to instill a lifelong love of reading in all students, while fostering individual student needs, and provide basic library navigational skill instruction.

Programs and events that our library supports and participates in include:
Birthday Book Club
Lakeview's Reading Counts program
I Love Reading Week
California Young Reader Medal
lunch time book clubs for 3rd and 4th grade students.
The Scholastic Book Fair which is always eagerly anticipated by our students and is a great fundraiser for our library!

Click HERE to see if the book your child is reading has a Reading Counts Quiz or need to know the Lexile.

Students can access our collection by logging into Clever - Single Sign On Portal and opening Follett Destiny icon  Be sure to select Lakeview Elementary!  Instructions for checking out our e-books will be coming soon!

For more information on our library programs or to access additional resources, please see the tabs at the left!

The library is open before and after school Monday - Friday for students to read quietly, return or exchange library books, and take Reading Counts quizzes.

If you have any questions, please email me at esargent@my.rescueusd.org.  Or feel free to stop by, I love visitors!
