Lakeview BIRTHDAY BOOK CLUB

The Lakeview Birthday Book Club is a great way to honor your student’s birthday and help the library acquire new books for our collection!  For $20.00, your student is able to choose a brand new book that is identified with a special label with their name and birthdate.  They get to be the first one to check out the new book which then is added to the library's collection upon return.  Students love finding books that have been Birthday Book Club selections in the past. Every effort is made to offer a wide variety of current, interesting books for students to choose from on or near their actual birthday (some summer or vacation month birthdays may be celebrated on an alternate or “unbirthday” date in lieu of their actual birthday).
Please note that a student's selected book will not be theirs to keep, but will be part of the library collection for others to enjoy.

The Birthday Book Club has been, and continues to be, a very popular program here at Lakeview.  Students love being recognized on or near their birthday and eagerly await their own birthday in anticipation of being recognized during their class library visit.  However, pre-payment must be made ahead of time in order to participate throughout the year.

Birthday Book Club forms are included with the back to school information packets at the beginning of the year, but extra forms are also available in the office or in the library.

Please contact Erin Sargent, school Librarian, at esargent@my.rescueusd.org or by phone at 916-941-2600 ext. 6080 if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you for your support of our library!
